Henry VII – The Tudors Lesson 1

This lesson is the first in our ten-part series on The Tudors.

We will start by looking at the first of the Tudor monarchs, Henry Tudor (also known as Henry VII), who was king from 1485 until 1509, and the famous Tudor rose. Your child will learn who Henry was, the rebellions he faced, and the problems he had to contend with upon becoming king.

They will look at the problems he had with the barons and the ways he dealt with them and kept the peace, as well as the policies he introduced and the Tudor family tree. They will demonstrate their knowledge and understanding by examining evidence, analysing Henry’s policies and independent research into their own family tree.
