This lesson is the fourth in our ten-part series on The Normans.
We begin this lesson with William as the new king and discuss what his main problems were and the actions he took to make sure the Normans took control successfully. We take a look at the rebellions he encountered as ruler and use scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry as a source of information to answer some important questions.
Your child will demonstrate their knowledge and understanding by answering these questions in their own words using key words they have learned, completing extended writing, diary extracts and map work tasks alongside independent research.
